A list of countries is available in the system's basic settings. The countries available are matched with Swedish Tax Agency' s list of countries and their normal amount for international allowance. The list of countries you find under Administration - Settings - Country is used for:

  • International allowance

  • Customer

Country for International Allowance

For a country to be selectable when registering internatioanl allowance via the allowance module in the time reporting view, it is required that:

  • International allowance is activated on the tab Administration - Settings - Time registration - Allowance. Read more about this in the section "International Allowance".

  • The country is activated on the tab Administration - Settings - Country.

Active and inactive Countries in the System

As a starting point when a new Milient Time Flow database is created, most countries are deactivated. Only active countries can be selected when the international allowances are registered via the Allowances module in the tiem registration view. To enable countries to be selectable when registering international allowances, do the following:

  1. Go to Administration - Settings - Country.

  2. Enter a search string in the box "Enter search string" (if you like).

  3. Check the box "Show inactive".

  4. Click on the pencil out to the right on the row of the country you want to make visible.

  5. Deselect the check box "Disabled" and save to make the country visible when registering international allowance.

  6. The activated lands are presented in the drop-down list when you register international allowance.

Country in the Customer Card

Country code and country are selected per customer when the customer is created on the tab Administration - Project - Customer. If no active choice of country is made on the customer when it is created, the customer receives the country specified as "default country" in the system.

Default Country

There is always a default country selected in the system. It is only possible to select one default country in the database.

The default country is automatically selected as the country of the customer when you create a new customer in the system under Administration - Project - Customer.

When a country is selected on a customer, it does not matter if the country is active or inactive in the system. All countries in the database are selectable when creating a customer.

Create a new country or change the details of an existing country

You can change the name of the countries in the list under Administration - Settings - Country. The name change affects both the presentation of the country name when registering an international allowance (if the country is an active choice there) and when selecting the country on the customer.

Country codes cannot be changed. The country codes follow international standards. It is on the basis of the country codes that the normal amount for international allowance is updated annually according to the current amount from the Swedish Tax Agency.
