# Lock time

## Lock time

In the upper right corner you find the padlock ![](/files/E5zUzEM5pnzgQwk15zum)used to lock your time. Locking your time means that you are done with your registrations and have controlled them. If you can lock every week the padlock will also be shown next to the week number in the calendar.

When you press the padlock you get to choose which period you want to lock. You can switch between week and month and go to the next or previous period.

The choices that you have depends on your company's settings. Note that previous weeks must be locked to be able to lock the current week. At the end of the month you always have to lock your time after you are done with all your registrations.

Remember to check your registrations in the list before you approve your time. You can’t make any changes after your time is locked. If you need to unlock your registrations contact the administrator at your company. Locked days are marked as grey.
