# Customers

### Set up your template

To be able to export customers there needs to be created a template using the Customers datatype. To see more on how to create the template read about the [template editor](/help/moment-by-topic/integrations/file-exports/export-templates/template-editor.md) and [create template](/help/moment-by-topic/integrations/file-exports/export-templates/template-editor/create-template.md).

### Retrieve your file from the system

To retrieve the file with customers, go to **Customers > Report**. \
If there exists an export template using the customers datatype as source there will be found an option to expert customers under the cogwheel icon.<br>

![](/files/-MhDOSzIgtgBmAW0gHkT)

Upon clicking the Export customers option a dialog will appear where you select your earlier created template. You can have multiple templates if so wanted. \
Then select the from date, this is the date from what time you want to get customers. These are the customers that has been created or changed after the set date.\
When these are set, click Export and you will get your file as per defined template.
